Instructions
Step 1: Make the Tandoori Marinade
- Start by preparing the flavorful marinade. In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup thick yogurt (make sure it’s strained if using regular curd to avoid a runny mix). Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder, and salt to taste.
- Finally, add 2 tablespoons of mustard oil (you can slightly heat it to reduce pungency before mixing). Whisk everything well until the marinade is smooth and vibrant. This mixture should be thick enough to cling to the corn.
Step 2: Prep the Corn
