Today, we have for you a selection of sophisticated tandoori seafood recipes that are sure to become family favorites in no time! So let’s dive right into it!

1. Tandoori shrimp skewers

First up are tandoori shrimp skewers. Picture plump, juicy shrimp, delicately marinated in yogurt, spices, and tangy lemon juice. Skewered and grilled in the fiery depths of the tandoor, these tasty treats take on a smoky flavor and a vibrant color when cooked perfectly. These tender shrimp, kissed by the tandoor’s heat, can be served alongside a zesty mint chutney, some crispy onion rings, or lime wedges.

2. Tandoori fish tikka

Another show stealer at any gathering, tandoori fish tikka is a popular tandoor grilled seafood item. To make this tasty appetizer, combine yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt until you get a smooth consistency. Coat your fish filets with the marinade and let them rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Fire up your tandoor to 400°F (200°C) and cook for about 10-12 minutes until the fish is cooked through and has a slight char. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Pro tip: You can use your leftover fish to make some spicy tandoori tacos or a tasty fish wrap topped with fresh veggies and sauces.

3. Tandoori prawns

Last but certainly not least, use your tandoor oven to make some luxurious tandoori prawns. Smother with a spicy marinade of yogurt, red chili powder, and tandoori spices. Once they’ve soaked up all the flavors, thread them onto skewers and place into the tandoor’s fiery embrace. As the heat works its magic, the prawns emerge succulent, with a deliciously smoky char on the outside. Serve with a spicy mint-green chili or tamarind chutney. They also go amazingly well with plain yogurt.
